Katelyn was born and raised in Texas. She moved to Connecticut in 2010 in search of opportunities that would allow her to explore queer community building and the nonprofit world. She is pursuing a degree in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and has served as a workshop facilitator in a Violence Against Women Prevention Program.
As Program and Volunteer Coordinator, she coordinates new and existing regularly scheduled programs, meets with case management clients, manages TCC's volunteer program, facilitates and develops TCC's cultural competency training program, coordinates CT Pride Voices, and supports executive staff with special events planning.
Katelyn is currently the TCC case manager and program facilitator for TCC's Bridgeport-based partnership with the Center for Family Justice where she meets with Bridgeport LGBTQ individuals for case management services and facilitates TCC's Bridgeport Coffee Talk Adult Daytime Social and Bridgeport LGBTQ Youth Group.
Katelyn also facilitates Norwalk Coffee Talk Adult Daytime Social, Norwalk LGBTQ Youth Group, Monthly Movie Night, and TCC's Volunteer and Community Engagement Forum.
Katelyn lives in New Haven with her two cats, Opie and Hugo.
