They have faced abuses such as stagnant wages, physical mistreatment, along with a host of other injustices. In the last decade and a half, the workers have begun to organize and form the Coalition of Immokalee Workers.

The goals in screening this documentary is to create a constructive dialogue on the subjects it covers.

After the screening there will be a question and answer period with the director Ernie Zahn where we will discuss workplace conditions facing the LGBT community.

About All Kicker:
All Kicker is a publicly serving magazine style blog. Our mission is to report on content in the areas of arts, activism, and technology. We focus less on breaking news and more on the in depth stories, the unseen issues, the under reported concerns...and we do this with written articles, short form videos, documentaries and more. We endeavor to operate with high integrity and high quality to better inform the public and in doing so affect social change no matter the size.

About Taranta: Taranta is a 30 seat restaurant located Boston’s historic North End. Its chef and owner Jose Duarte opened this restaurant, strictly, as a southern Italian dining experience. Today, however, Taranta has evolved and now serves as a unique marriage of Italian technique with Peruvian ingredients.
Taranta also takes special interest in the social responsibility of food service proprietors.
With this in mind, Taranta has put a lot of focus in educating the public on issues of environmental impact of food production, the cost of labor in the fields where ingredients are produced and more.
