2019 Community Champion Award
2019 Connecticut’s Kid Governor® Ella Briggs was elected on her platform of LGBTQ Youth Safety. Her platform focuses on three platform points to advocate for youth in the LGBTQ community:
- Promote adoptions for LGBTQ Youth who are homeless.
- Train teachers on how to work with LGBTQ Youth.
- Create youth programs for LGBTQ Youth and their allies.
Ella has raised awareness about critical LGBTQ issues and is an inspiration to kids and adults alike! We are proud to celebrate her accomplishments with Connecticut's LGBTQ community

2019 Community Partner of the Year Award
TracyLocke cares passionately about the LGTBQ community. Its commitment runs deep: TracyLocke encourages and empowers its LGTBQ employees, and has been a significant TCC partner. TracyLocke has supported TCC advertising efforts, dramatically expanding the agency's outreach, has hosted LGTBQ competency trainings through TCC for its staff nationally, generously donated to support TCC's mission and its volunteers take time out of their busy schedules to paint TCC's drop-in center, and to ensure that Pride in the Park is a wonderful success.
