About the program:
Wednesday Night Movies welcomes you to a free social for the LGBTQ community. The program features a reception with wine and snacks, conversation with friends old and new, followed by a screening of that week's movie. Participants can vote on the movies they want to see at future meetings, so make sure you do your duty and vote!
About the movie: BROOKLYN (2015) tells the profoundly moving story of Eilis Lacey (Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan), a young Irish immigrant navigating her way through 1950s Brooklyn. Lured by the promise of America, Eilis departs Ireland and the comfort of her mother's home for the shores of New York City. The initial shackles of homesickness quickly diminish as a fresh romance sweeps Eilis into the intoxicating charm of love with an Italian-American (Emory Cohen).
