About the Movie:
CREED (2015), directed by Ryan Coogler and written by Coogler and Aaron Covington is a spin-off and sequel to the Rocky film series. The film stars Michael B. Jordan as Adonis Johnson Creed, Apollo's son, with Sylvester Stallone reprising the role of Rocky Balboa.
The film received acclaim from critics, who called it the best 'Rocky' film since the original. For his performance, Stallone was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, his first Oscar nomination since the original film. He won a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture, his first Golden Globe.
Creed was released on November 25, 2015, the fortieth anniversary of the original 'Rocky.'

Wednesday Night Movies welcomes you to a free social for the LGBTQ community. The program features a reception with wine and snacks, conversation with friends old and new, followed by a screening of that week's movie. Participants can vote on the movies they want to see at future meetings, so make sure you do your duty and vote!

Frank Gaffney leads Wednesday Night Movies and has a passion for the arts. He is involved locally at the Carriage House in Norwalk, and plays a key role in the Stamford Downtown Special Services District, helping to put together some of your favorite local concerts and performances.
