Because stress rates haven’t gone down for young adults, they may end up dealing with high levels of stress for many more years than previous generations.
The effects of long-term stress on the body include: cardiovascular disease, stroke, heart failure, kidney failure, heart attacks, acne, infections, headaches, migraines, diabetes… just to name a few.
People have been offering the same stress-reduction techniques for years: Exercise, deep breathing, yoga, writing, etc. Yet, the stress remains!

About our Young Adult Services and YAS Space:
YAS! is a safe and affirming drop-in program for all young adults (18-25 year olds) to receive social support and case management services including housing, employment, support with name-change documents, crisis intervention, and referrals.
